The generalist. Lindy builds AI agents that work across your tools (email, CRM, calendar), and one can answer or place calls. Easy to start, priced in credits, a call about $0.19 a minute. Good for one tool doing lots of automation, less so if voice is your whole job.

What you'll pay

About $0.19 to 0.30 for a minute of conversation, once the phone line and the AI are added in.

That's roughly $11.40–18.00 an hour. Plans: from $49.99/mo (Plus) up to $199.99/mo (Max).

Lindy is a credit-priced AI-agent platform, not a per-minute voice product, so the per-minute band is derived. Lindy's own docs price a phone call at 20 credits per minute, roughly $0.19/min for a standard US setup, with each phone number $10/month flat (a fixed cost, not metered per minute). We carry $0.19/min as the platform+voice rate and set the band to $0.19 to 0.30 to cover premium voices, larger models in the agent steps, and the per-number fee spread over typical volume; speech-to-text and text-to-speech are bundled into Lindy's credit rate (not itemised), so those components show 0. Heads-up on plan naming: Lindy's live pricing page shows Plus $49.99, Pro $99.99 and Max $199.99 per month described only as relative usage (Plus, then 3x, then 7x). Lindy's own academy billing FAQ still documents an older credit model (Free 400 credits, Pro 5,000+, Business 30,000+, Custom 100,000+ per month). The two do not line up; Lindy is mid-transition, so treat the credit figures as the documented usage model and the named tiers above as the live prices. A task is at minimum 1 credit, most tasks cost 1 to 3 credits on basic models and about 10 on large models; credits do not roll over.

Plans & what you get

Every plan in one place: the monthly fee, what each one includes, and the features it unlocks. Anything beyond a plan's allowance, or on a pay-as-you-go tier, is billed at the per-minute rate above. A blank in the features means the vendor's plan page does not state it for that plan, not that it is unavailable.

At a glance

· Plugging in your own phone-number supplier instead of using the platform's numbers. Handy if you already run your own phone setup. · Handing the call to a human with context: the AI briefs the person first, instead of a cold drop where the caller repeats themselves. Kicking off a whole list of outbound calls at once, rather than dialling one at a time. A standard way to let the agent use outside tools mid-call, like a booking system or your CRM. Our full take

Lindy is the generalist of this group. Most vendors here are built to do one thing, run phone calls, and Lindy is built to do lots of things, with phone calls as one of them. You assemble an “AI employee” that works across your tools, reads email, updates a CRM, books calendar slots, posts to Slack, and one of the jobs you can hand it is answering or placing phone calls. So if you came looking for a pure call platform, set expectations now: voice is a capability inside a broader automation tool, not the whole product.

Here is how the phone side works in plain terms. You give an agent a “Call Received” trigger and it answers inbound calls, or a “Make Phone Call” action and it dials out, one number at a time down a list. When a call ends it can log the conversation, update your database and send a recap to the team. Lindy says it handles over 30 languages on calls. You attach a phone number for $10 a month, and that number can take more than one call at once.

Now the cost, because Lindy does not price calls the way a voice-first vendor does. Everything you do in Lindy is billed in credits, where a single task starts at one credit and climbs to about ten on the larger AI models. A phone call is metered at 20 credits a minute, which Lindy’s own docs put at roughly $0.19 a minute for a standard US setup. That is the number to anchor on. We carry it as the platform-and-voice rate and quote an all-in band of $0.19 to 0.30 a minute, with the top of the band covering premium voices, heavier models in the agent’s reasoning steps, and the $10 per-number fee once you spread it over real call volume. The listening and speaking parts (speech-to-text and text-to-speech) are folded into that credit rate rather than billed separately, which is why you will not see them itemised the way Retell breaks them out.

One thing to watch, and we will be straight about it because the picture is genuinely a bit muddled right now. Lindy’s live pricing page shows three named plans, Plus at $49.99, Pro at $99.99 and Max at $199.99 a month, described only in relative terms (Plus is the base, Pro is three times the usage, Max is seven times). It does not print credit numbers. Lindy’s own academy billing FAQ, though, still documents an older credit model: a free tier with 400 credits, Pro at 5,000-plus, Business at 30,000-plus and a custom tier at 100,000-plus credits a month. The two do not line up, which tells us Lindy is mid-transition between pricing models. Treat the named tiers as the live prices and the credit figures as the documented usage mechanics, and budget on the per-minute rate rather than trying to reverse-engineer a plan. Credits also do not roll over month to month, so an underused plan is money left on the table.

On compliance, Lindy’s security page claims SOC 2 Type II (audited by the Johanson Group), HIPAA controls mapped to the standard, GDPR and PIPEDA. That is a solid list for a regulated buyer, and HIPAA in particular sits alongside the enterprise feature set (SSO, SCIM, audit logs), so if you are in healthcare expect the formal data-handling agreement to be an enterprise conversation rather than a self-serve toggle.

Where Lindy earns its keep is breadth and an easy start. If your real problem is “I want one tool that triages email, updates the CRM, books meetings and also picks up the phone,” a generalist that does all of it is a better fit than stitching a voice-only platform to four other apps. It speaks MCP, so it plugs into the newer agent-tooling ecosystem, and it can fire a batch of outbound calls from a list. What you give up is the fine control a dedicated call platform gives you. You do not pick your own carrier through SIP trunking, the live warm-transfer-to-a-human flow is not a headline feature, and because voice is one capability among many, the call experience is less tunable than a voice-first build. The credit model also needs watching: complex agents and large models burn credits faster than you would guess, and with no rollover, usage spikes land on the next invoice.

My read: Lindy is a good call for a small team that wants to automate across its stack and answer the phone from the same place, without standing up a separate voice platform. If the phone is the entire job and you care about squeezing latency, carrier choice and per-component cost, a voice-first vendor will serve you better. Start on Plus, run a week of real calls, and watch the credit burn before you commit to a year.

We have not placed our own test calls to Lindy yet, so there are no Voxrater latency numbers here. The pricing, voice mechanics and compliance detail above are from Lindy’s pricing page, product docs, academy billing FAQ and security page, captured 2026-05-31. The credit-to-minute modelling is ours, built from Lindy’s stated 20-credits-a-minute rate, and we have flagged it as derived rather than a measured bill.
