Where the money comes from
Some links on Voxrater are affiliate links. If you sign up to a platform through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our measurements, our prices, or our rankings. The public methodology is the audit trail. Where a platform has no affiliate link, we still list it, on the same terms as everyone else.
Here is every platform we cover, whether it runs an affiliate programme we have confirmed, the commission shape where it is public, and our reliability flag. We would rather show you this in full than bury it.

We may sell a single Sponsored slot at the top of the homepage shortlist. It is always labelled "Sponsored", sits in its own colour, and is the one paid placement on the page. It is kept deliberately separate from our editorial work:
- It carries no score, no star rating and no rank, so it can never be mistaken for our number one pick.
- It does not move the rankings. The ordered list below it is exactly what our methodology produces, paid slot or not.
- Buying the slot cannot buy a better score anywhere else on the site, the same rule as our affiliate links.
- The sponsor's outbound link is tagged rel="sponsored nofollow", like every other commercial link here.
In short, it is advertising, clearly marked as advertising. Our methodology and the ranked list stay independent of it.
Voxrater's pick
While no sponsor has bought that slot, we fill it with a Voxrater's pick instead: our own genuine top choice for that page, taken straight from our scores and not paid for by anyone. It is labelled "Voxrater's pick", sits in its own blue colour (not the sponsor's purple), and carries an affiliate link, so we may earn a commission if you click through and subscribe. Two rules keep it honest:
- The pick is chosen by our scores, never by who pays us. It is the same platform our methodology already ranks first for that page.
- It does not change the ranking, and a paying sponsor always replaces it, so a pick and a sponsor never show together.
Affiliate details last reviewed 2026-07-11. "Confirmed" means we have verified the programme from the platform's own page; where it reads "None confirmed" we have not found a public programme. "Unverified" reliability means we have not yet joined and tested payout ourselves; "Caution" flags a specific concern, like an unresolved non-payment report. We update this page as programmes are confirmed and as we are paid.
